The steps of a commercial fit-out project

A commercial fit-out project follows five steps: listen and scope, design, develop, make in the workshop, then install and hand over. At Stand'Up Conception, one team carries it from the on-site survey to the install, with an itemised quote approved before anything starts.

1. Listen and scope the project

Before anything is drawn, we understand the place and its use. We visit, measure, and note the constraints: floor area, budget, timeline, public-venue rules. We get clear on what the project has to achieve.

2. Design

We turn the idea into a concrete proposal: a concept, plans, dimensions, a palette of materials. At this stage the quote prices the project item by item, so there are no surprises later.

3. Develop

Once the project is approved, we prepare the fabrication: shop drawings, technical details, material and finish choices. Each piece is drawn to be built, not only to be seen.

4. Make in the workshop

Fabrication happens in our 550 m² workshop: cutting, assembly, finishing. On complex projects, the whole thing is dry-fitted and checked in the workshop, then taken apart for the install. That workshop stage cuts the time spent on site.

5. Install and hand over

We deliver, install on site and adjust. Because most of the work was made upfront, the on-site visit is short, which limits closure for a trading business. The project ends with a handover, when the place is ready to open.
