Standard furniture
Available fast and cheaper to buy, it suits a simple or temporary need. Its limits are fixed dimensions and a generic look, and it can wear fast under heavy use.
Bespoke fit-out
It is drawn for the exact space and use of the place. It uses every centimetre and is built in materials that last, and it carries your image. In return, it asks for more design upfront.
When bespoke wins
An awkward space (angles, sloped ceilings, a small floor area), a strong brand image, heavy use, or a centrepiece like a counter: standard shows its limits fast there.
When standard is enough
A one-off need, a tight budget, a space with no particular constraint. Nothing stops you mixing the two: standard for the secondary, bespoke for what matters.
The real cost
Bespoke costs more to buy, but it lasts, and it can be maintained and repaired. Set against its life and what it adds to the image, the gap with standard furniture replaced several times narrows.
